Sri Madhusudhan Sai

Founder and Visionary Leader

Sri Madhusudan Sai’s unique humanitarian mission of service and spirituality spans across 60 countries. Since 2012, he has made a significant impact on the lives of millions in India and abroad focusing on three critical areas: nutrition, education, and healthcare. All services are provided free of charge, without discrimination.

Guided by the ancient Indian principle of Vasudhaiva Kuṭumbakam (“One World, One Family”), the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission nurtures a world where nations, societies, and individuals support one another as they would their own family, transcending borders to create a compassionate global community.

Sunil Gavaskar

Board Member

Sunil Gavaskar - Board Member

Sunil Gavaskar is one of cricket’s greatest opening batsmen of all time. He dominated the game during his 16-year career of 125 test matches and was the captain of the Indian Cricket team for 47 matches. He was a key member of the Indian cricket team which won the world cup in 1983 and holds several records including being the first ever player to score 10,000 runs in test matches and being the only Indian who scored two centuries in a test match on 3 occasions.

For his contribution to the sport and a very successful career, Sunil was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1980 by the President of India, Sri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy. He was inducted into the International Cricket Council’s Hall of Fame in 2009, owing to his immense cricketing acumen as a highly popular sports media columnist, a well-respected television commentator, and a role model for youth.

Sunil is Member of the Board of directors of One World One Family Foundation. He is passionate about providing underserved rural communities and people living in poverty, their basic rights to health, education and nutrition and empowering them to succeed and become valuable contributors to society. He calls this work the "third innings" of his career, and the most fulfilling. Through One World One Family Foundation, he fundraises to support underserved communities with free nutrition, education and healthcare.

Sridhar Vajapey

Sridhar Vajapey - Board Member

Sridhar Vajapey has been an executive in the technology industry for nearly 40 years. As a technologist he holds six patents and also had many industry firsts. He has served on various boards of companies and organizations. He holds a Masters in EE from University of Houston and BE from RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru. As part of giving back to society, Sridhar is leveraging his decades of executive experience in Fortune 500 companies by applying his management expertise to lead social causes. He helps generate awareness and fundraises for the delivery of essential healthcare, nutrition and education services to underserved communities in India, USA and across the world.

Mehran Ataee

Mehran Ataee - Board Member

Mehran has a degree in electrical engineering, and has 30 years of experience in the high tech industry with a focus on the design and development of electronic products in Silicon Valley. Mehran started serving in the Sri Sathya Sai Baba organization in 1990, and is a former president of the San Jose Center. Starting in 2017, Mehran also joined the Sri Madhusudan Sai humanitarian organization, supporting its global initiatives. Mehran wholeheartedly loves and supports the concept of “one world, one family”, and believes that is the only way to have a better world for all, to treat all with love and serve all as your own family. Mehran is married and lives in the Bay Area, California with his family.

Divyogi Patel

Divyogi Patel - Board Member

Divyogi Patel has dedicated the past 25 years to nonprofit work and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Lead Board Member of the Sankara Eye Foundation. Over the last decade, he has also been actively involved in raising awareness and resources for healthcare, education, and nutrition initiatives, supported by the OWOF Foundation. Born to Gujarati parents in Uganda, Divyogi lived in India from ages 7 to 14, which helped him build a strong connection to the country. He grew up in England, earning a bachelor’s degree in business management from Lancaster University. In 1994, he relocated to California, where he established several businesses. Divyogi now resides in Saratoga, California, with his wife and three children, continuing his nonprofit and professional endeavors. For relaxation, he enjoys travel and golf.

Vivek Mahadevan

Vivek Mahadevan - Board Member

Vivek Mahadevan has been an executive in the tech industry for the last 35 years. He has a BTech from IIT Chennai and MS/MBA from the University of Iowa. Vivek has been involved with the Sri Sathya Sai Baba organization since 1980 and was a former president of the Sathya Sai center in Houston, Texas. He is currently the CEO of Buurst, Inc and serves on the boards of the Divine Will Foundation and PeopleShores Organization, among others. He is one of the senior USA coordinators for Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai’s worldwide humanitarian projects. Bringing his keen organizational abilities and business acumen to the field of selfless service, Vivek offers his skills to serve the global community.

Anand Kadali - Secretary & Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust

As the Secretary and Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, Anand Kadali plays a pivotal role in overseeing the expansion and development of the flagship “Annapoorna Morning Nutrition Program” in India. This initiative provides daily morning nutrition free of charge to over 9 million underprivileged school children, attending more than 100,000 predominantly rural schools across 24 states and 4 Union Territories in India. Considering that many school children in rural areas come to school with an empty stomach, this program aims to provide a nutritious breakfast or a health drink to these children in the morning school hours, which is essential for their physical and cognitive development. Having dedicated over 15 years to the corporate sector, Anand made a life-altering decision to pursue his passion for community service on a full-time basis. His professional background includes roles in global organizations such as Hewlett Packard, HCL, and Dimension Data, specializing in computer networking and security. Anand is also recognized as a Certified Independent Director.

Sai Prasad Ivaturi

Sai Prasad Ivaturi is Trustee & CFO at Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust that provides free morning nutrition to over 9 million needy school children. Sai oversees expansion, budgeting, and fundraising for the trust. He previously served at HP Inc. as Director, heading Asia Operations for HP's PC business, and has held roles at GE, Genpact, Cisco, and Sony. Sai Prasad holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and an MS from Indiana State University. Responding to a higher calling, he transitioned from a successful corporate career to dedicate himself full-time to humanitarian work. Presently, he resides with his wife and children at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli near Bangalore and leads on the Annapoorna nutrition program.

Dr. David Cornsweet

Dr. David Cornsweet - President of Divine Will Foundation Trustee of the Gumpert Foundation

David Cornsweet, Ph.D. serves as the President of Divine Will Foundation and the Coordinator of the Sai Global Federation of Foundations. He is also the co-Trustee and Director of the Gumpert Foundation, a trust which provides funding, consulting and training for a group of charitable organizations in the United States. Holding a doctorate in clinical psychology, David was a psychotherapist in private practice for over 40 years and also taught classes in psychology and management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Deeply involved in both service and spiritual activities from his teen years, he believes that spirituality must be put into action and that selfless service benefits the provider at least as much as the receiver.

Murali Vullaganti is Founder and Executive Chairman of two social enterprises: ; RuralShores and PeopleShores. Under the guidance of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Murali founded RuralShores in 2008 in India, with the mission of bringing technology-enabled jobs to the rural youth, thus enabling rural areas to retain talent and generate prosperity. RuralShores now has 14 centers spread across 9 Indian states employing 3000+ rural youth, managing 80+ complex processes for 30+ well known global clients across 4 continents. Over the past 15 years, RuralShores has directly impacted the careers and lives of more than 25,000 rural youth. Under the guidance of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, Murali Founded PeopleShores, a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) in 2017 in the USA, with a mission to empower underemployed young adults in underserved communities in the USA through digital skills and careers. PeopleShores offers disadvantaged young adults full-time employment, and imparts them with technical skills to deliver high quality services to its corporate customers. PeopleShores currently has centers operating in Clarksdale MS, Pine Bluff AR, Brooklyn NY, DeKalb GA, Bronx NY and Tampa FL with plans to expand across the USA. Previously, Murali spent nearly 15 years on Wall Street in the USA and 5 years in Asia Pacific serving large Institutional and Investment Banks. Murali is an alumnus of IIT-Kharagpur and BITS Pilani. He is currently based in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Sumeet Tappoo - Chairman, Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital, Fiji Director, Sai Prema Foundation, Fiji International Performing Artist

Sumeet Tappoo, is an acclaimed Bollywood singer and international performer, who has performed over 1,100 concerts worldwide and released 40 solo and collaborative albums and singles.

Beyond his illustrious musical career, Sumeet is a dedicated global humanitarian, actively involved in projects worldwide, notably in his native Fiji Islands. He serves as Chairman of the Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital, the South Pacific’s pioneering pediatric cardiac super-speciality hospital, offering all surgeries and treatments completely free of charge.

Among his accolades, Sumeet has received music awards in India and prestigious honors including the Presidential Medal from the Government of Fiji, the USA Presidential Volunteerism Medal for his humanitarian and philanthropic efforts, the International Award of Excellence from the British Parliament, the Highest Honour from the California State Legislative Assembly, the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman from the President of India, and the Alumni Award of Excellence from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Kanwaljit S. Anand

Dr. Kanwaljeet S. Anand graduated from M.G.M. Medical College,India, received the D.Phil. degree as a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, and post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School. He has practiced as a Pediatric Intensivist for almost 40 years. He has authored over 300 scientific articles, edited 9 books/journal issues, and published numerous other monographs, white papers, and national guidelines. As a tenured Professor of Pediatrics, Anesthesiology, Perioperative & Pain Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, he directs the Stanford Child Wellness Lab and Jackson Vaughan Research Fund.

Dr Anand has been doing community service for decades and has received many awards including the Father Joseph Biltz Award (2007), Dr. Martin Luther King “Salute to Greatness” Individual Award (2008), among others. Recognizing that 70% of the world’s poorest live in, Dr. Anand has organized the Ideal Village Conferences at Stanford annually since 2016, dedicated to improving the lives of villagers across the world.

He is an advisor and active volunteer with One World One Family Foundation serving the most disadvantaged communities bringing awareness and raising monies for their healthcare needs.

Dr. Sundar Kamath is Senior VP & Chief Technology Officer of Sanmina Corp, a San Jose (CA) based electronics manufacturing technology leader. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Sanmina-Reliance JV in Chennai, India. Previously, he held technology development and product management roles at IBM and MicroModule Systems. He is a TIE Charter Member, an advisor to two AI startups in Silicon Valley, holds 11 US patents, has published extensively, and contributed to a University text on Microsystems Packaging. He holds undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees in Engineering from University of Madras, Cranfield Institute of Technology (U.K.), and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA) respectively. Sundar is co-founder and co-chair of the annual Ideal Village Conferences at Stanford University, launched in 2016 to serve as a collaboration platform for nonprofits, tech companies, academia and agencies working on technology-based solutions for rural transformation. He is active in various social impact initiatives, including WHEELS Global (Pan IIT-Alumni) Foundation (Board Member), Heart to Heart Foundation (Advisor), Annapoorna Breakfast & Nutrition program (Mentor), PeopleShores (co-founder), free rural medical health and education (SMSIMSR), Skills Development Center (Muddenahalli), Shree Sai Healing Trust (Chennai), and related projects. Dr. Shaun Setty - Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeon

Dr. Saun Setty is an M.D, Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgeon, based in Los Angeles. Dr. Setty is triple-board-certified in surgery, thoracic surgery, and congenital heart surgery. He has experience in all aspects of pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery including neonatal and transplant surgery. He is currently involved in different basic and clinical cardiac research projects. He is a member of the medical school honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Setty also has numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and research presentations to his credit. He is involved with various journal editorial boards. He has been involved with the humanitarian organizations Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Medical System since inception and also with the Global Heart Network that strive to provide access to congenital heart care to those from less privileged backgrounds.

RJ is the founder of PCT, Clean. His goal is to bring awareness to the world about cleaning for health and not just appearance. He earned his degrees in Management and Marketing from Kennesaw State University. Since then, has either started from scratch or acquired six businesses varying from owning a hotel, being a United States Soccer Federation soccer coach, opening a restaurant, building a 18,000 square foot retail center, starting a home and office cleaning company in 2003 and Cleaning Business Coaching in 2021. Along the way, many blessings have encouraged his path of leadership by being recognized by Kennesaw State University as the Student of the Year, Georgia Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year, United States Soccer Federation Coach of the Year, Citizen of the Year in Cobb County, Heroes and Legends Award from the City Of Kennesaw, and PCT Clean earning Business of the Year in 2015 from the Kennesaw Business Association.

Roopa is an entrepreneur and CEO of RS Creative Designs which has undertaken hundreds of decoration and remodeling projects in collaboration with contractors.

Vivechan's spiritual journey began as a student of Sathya Sai Bala Vikas in Telangana. He volunteered in numerous service activities in Puttaparthi and was inspired by Sadguru Madhusudan Sai's teachings and service initiatives in 2013. As part of his spiritual journey, he volunteered at various events in Muddenahalli, Rishikesh, the opening of the free Gulbarga University, and for several educational institutes and hospitals. Vivechan also contributed to Sai Prakashana (Books & Publications, Communications, Photography, Audio & Video) in equipment and digital marketing. Currently, he is volunteering in Austin as part of Sadguru Madhusudan Sai's global mission, One World - One Family.

Professionally, Vivechan is an IT Cloud Architect consultant with a passion for spiritual and social service, digital marketing, financial coaching, and people management.

Ambika Sharma

Ambika is an economist in the international development sector. She has worked across 14 countries in Africa and South Asia to help governments design and implement large scale antipoverty programs to benefit those living below the poverty line, underprivileged women and girls, and refugees and forcibly displaced persons. Ambika is currently based in Washington, D.C. and has previously lived and worked in Botswana and India. She holds a Masters in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Delhi. She volunteers her time to organize fundraising and awareness campaigns for the Sri Madhusudan Sai medical college and associated free hospitals, the Annapoorna Nutrition Programme, and other initiatives under the One World One Family humanitarian mission.

Soma Rao is a senior executive in Financial Services industry and has served as a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan and Citigroup. He is a strong believer in “One World, One Family” and “Love All, Serve All” and enjoys giving back to the Community. Dr. Rekha Rao is a Board-Certified Neurologist with an established medical practice serving patients in New Jersey for many years. She believes in “One World, One Family” and the power of “Selfless Service” to help the needy and support them in achieving their full human potential. She has been involved all her life with Sathya Sai Organization and continues her active participation in Sai Center activities in New Jersey. Rekha completed her Neurology Residency from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and her Fellowship in Neurology from Montefiore Hospital in New York. She is married and lives with her family in New Jersey.

Swetha Donthu is a seasoned Engineering Leader with extensive experience in managing global software engineering teams. Alongside her professional pursuits, Swetha is deeply committed to supporting underprivileged communities. Swetha joined the Sathya Sai organization in 1995. She served as the Sai Spiritual Coordinator for the Fremont Sai Center from 2014 to 2016 and actively participated in cooking and serving breakfast at the Fremont homeless shelter on weekends during the same period. Swetha’s passion for making a difference has led her to actively engage in social service activities over the last 10 years. Since the last 6 years she has been working with Street to Stability, where she orchestrated numerous homeless feeding service activities. These initiatives not only provided essential nourishment to homeless people, but also fostered a spirit of community involvement, encouraging young children and their families to participate wholeheartedly.

Balaji Shanmugam is a seasoned technology professional with over 25 years of experience in the tech industry. He holds a Masters from the University of Chennai. Balaji has been involved with the Sri Sathya Sai Organization since 2000 and previously held the position of president of the Sathya Sai Center in Fremont, California where he led on various humanitarian projects to serve the community. He currently works at Smart Global holdings based in California and is involved in Sadguru Sri Madhusudan's Sai's worldwide humanitarian projects.

Kamini Vajapey has nearly 30 years of experience working in tech industry. Over the years she has gained expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) of products and services and Supply management and and Finance support in small and medium businesses. She has been actively participating in cultural development of youth at SYRCC and also serves on the board of Sanatana Dharma Kendra located in San Jose, CA for more than a decade. She has run breakfast service at a San Jose homeless shelter with the neighborhood children. She brings her experience and her organizational skills to One World One Family Foundation to serve the Global Family.

Ravi Addepalli, an IT Professional, was born and raised in India in a spiritual and service oriented family. Ravi earned his degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and moved to Atlanta USA in 1997. He follows the principle of “God First, Others Next and Me Last” and is actively involved in community service with a passion to help those who are underprivileged. Ravi is a follower of Sanatana Dharma, and learned and regularly participates in Vedic chanting and rituals around the globe for universal peace and prosperity. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and traveling to temples around the world.

Pavan has over 20 years experience in the hardware tech industry with expertise in supply chain management, VLSI design and silicon packaging. He holds an M.S degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Rashmi Thapa

Dr. Rashmi Thapa

Dr. Rashmi Thapa, MBBS, MD, is currently an Adult Congenital Heart Disease Fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and serves on the DEI Committee of the Adult Congenital Heart Association. Previously, she worked as a Non-invasive Cardiologist at Stormont Vail/Cotton O’Neil Clinic and held significant roles at Hays Medical Center, including Chief of staff, Director of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation. She is board certified in General Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Vascular Interpretation. Dr. Thapa completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Kansas Medical Center and her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She holds an MBBS from Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her work includes numerous publications in leading cardiology journals and presentations at major scientific conferences. She has established various non-profits in Nepal. She is also actively involved in various other non-profit organizations, including H2H Foundation, Street to Stability, One World One Sai, and the Society for Selfless Service.
